We are known as 'Browne class' after our class author, Anthony Browne. We will enjoy many of his stories this year.

Helpful reminders:
- Our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday. Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school on these days.
- We ask that book bags are brought to school daily. Reading books and spellings will be handed out each Friday.
- Your child will choose one library book each week to encourage reading for pleasure. The other book is carefully matched to their learning in phonics.
- Please sign your child's reading record after each book read. After your child has read ten books, they will receive a special reading certificate and their name will be entered into a prize draw!

Welcome to Year 2! During our first week, we have focused on the story of 'Silly Billy' by our class author, Anthony Browne. We made our own worry dolls and discussed what we are excited or nervous about at the beginning of our new school year.
The children have also enjoyed exploring our brand new outdoor provision - we are so lucky to be able to take our learning outside every day!
