Investigating how light travels
I understand how light travels
Today in year 3 we investigated how light travels. We worked with our friends, using a torch and three pieces of black paper with holes in the middle. We had to line the holes up to allow the light through.
We discovered that light travels in straight lines.
We also found out that light is able to travel through transparent objects like glass but is blocked by opaque objects such as black paper. We discovered that light was able to travel through translucent materials and we made different coloured light to shine through our holes.
