Who was George Stephenson? - we walked to the train station to look at modern trains on No Pens Day

No pens day - we made shapes using rubber bands on geo boards, instead of using pencils and paper! We discovered some new shapes.

On Tuesday, we celebrated the end of our topic 'What does it take to be a winner' by having a Mini Sport's Day! It was a lot of fun!

Music- We enjoyed our weekly session this week; reading music and using our body percussion!

RE- We have been learning about how Christians welcome new babies. We talked about baptism and role-played a ceremony! We needed a vicar, two parents, a baby, godparents and friends and family in the congregation.

Balanceabilty - the children had a great time improving their cycling skills. They showed great resilience and everyone improved their skills.

Year 2 have been investigating how important it is to understand numbers to 100 by looking at food packaging. What do all the numbers mean?

We have been busy making our 'Tree of Life'. We have been thinking about the things that are important to us, our strengths and what we would like to achieve in the future.
