This week we saw shoots growing from the top of the seeds. We also noticed a long stem and leaves beginning to grow.We moved the plants into a pot and used compost to fill the pots.

Thank you to everyone for making our first Stay and Play session of this year so much fun!

Investigating pumpkins!

In the Early Years we often refer to early writing as mark making. We try and encourage children to make marks through a variety of activities using a range of resources. Children become comfortable with holding equipment in a tripod grip and develop the control necessary to begin their journey as young writers.

We have been practicing our skills today by rolling a dice and copying the pattern.

This week in maths we are looking at repeating patterns using simple shapes. We have learnt that a pattern repeats over and over again. We have been using mathematical vocabulary such as before, next and sequence. Please support your child at home with their learning by making repeating patterns with a range of resources.
