I have worked in higher education for many years most recently managing a degree in Learning & Teaching for those supporting learning in schools and other educational settings at the University of Leeds. I still work there part-time but this gives me more time to get involved in schools hence my reason for joining the governing body in December 2021. Originally I qualified as a librarian so have always been interested in books and reading and developing young people’s literacy skills. I always have my head in a book and can’t go on holiday without a bag full of books – no Kindles for me!
Outside of work I like walking and have 2 mad dogs, Ivy and Flo, who drag me out in all weathers.
