Take a Look !
St George’s Day
We have been learning about St George and the St George Cross. We have made flags to celebrate St George’s Day.
Easter Bonnets
All of the children in Nursery have come back after Christmas full of beans and ready to learn new things. We have some new children starting and we are all looking forward to getting to know them and to helping them feel like part of the family.
Today we had a visit from Wise Owl Sanctuary. We enjoyed meeting different types of owl including a barn owl, a little owl and a tawny owl. We learnt lots of facts about owls and the children had an opportunity to watch the owls fly and also to hold Orvil the little owl.
Friday is Library day in Nursery
Why not finish off a fabulous week of learning in Nursery by borrowing one of our exciting story books. Every Friday we open the doors ten minutes early at the end of each session so that you can choose a book with your child. Each book can be kept until the following Friday when you can bring it back and choose another one.
Maths Investigations
In Maths this week we have been making long creatures. We have used card, paper, ribbons, string, construction resources and all sorts of other things to make them. Some of our creatures have been longer than a dinosaur! We have used lots of interesting Mathematical vocabulary to describe our creatures. Words like long, longer, longest, giant, tiny, short, shorter and shortest. We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures of our work.
