We have continued to focus on the composition of numbers in maths this week using the number rhyme '5 little men in a flying saucer'. We have used a Hungarian 5 frame (5-die pattern) to help us to explore ways to represent numbers. By the end of the week, we extended this by using the double die frame to begin to explore 6 and 7 as numbers that are composed of '5 and a bit' (5 and 1 make 6, 5 and 2 make 7).
