We’re getting stuck straight into our new topic of fairy tales by having lots of fun in our fairy tale castle provision are! Look at the wonderful outfits we have on!
We started our Art topic of Clay houses today. We had to use different equipment to cut, mould, flatten and smooth the clay out.
We had lots of fun learning what a fruit and vegetable are today. We were given potato’s, spinach, apples, oranges, tomato’s and onions and had to dissect them and then find the seeds to see if they were a fruit or veggie! 🥦
For the next part of our DT project we had to learn how to cut the fruit and how to use a knife and blender ready for when we made our own smoothies. We tried hard to be safe and even got to sample a smoothie at the end!
We recapped nouns and adjectives today. In our pairs, one person had to find a noun and label it, then the other person had to write an adjective for it! We then put these captions into sentences, remembering what things are needed for a short sentence.
In our Art lesson we made our own pinch pots. We learnt how to score and use a slip join to add two pieces of clay together.
We continued our art work today using clay. We looked at using lego and different equipment to form patterns that we could use in our final piece.
We have been loving the warm weather! We made the most of it by having lots of outdoor provision time and played with the water equipment.
We consolidated our recent learning with numbers up to 100 by using the tough tray to find the missing number on the number line. We then noticed what is similar with all off the number lines.
Look how amazing our final tile pieces turned out!
We made our final smoothies today. They were so yummy and we applied all of our previous knowledge to make them.
