We have also read words containing the double letters: dd mm tt bb rr gg pp ff. These are digraphs and are two letters making just one sound of d, m, t, b, r, g, p and f. Each of the new digraphs/trigraphs in Phase 3 has a catchphrase and picture to help the children recall the matching phoneme:
