I’m Ian, now retired, but I had a varied working life, amongst other things I was a postman, a full time trade union official, a manager and latterly a handyman.

 

Retirement hasn’t meant a less busy life, but a more relaxing one and amongst my interests and things I now have time for is football ( I am a Derby County season ticket holder) and I love singing so am frequently karaoke singing!

 

I had a very unhappy education experience so I want to do anything I can to help the school keep up its excellent and vital work; Cross Gates provides amazing opportunities for children and really does change life chances.
