Nursery (Bee Class)

Welcome to Nursery

The Nursery team are Mrs Pearson, Mrs Shaw, Mrs Duxbury, Miss Cardiss and Miss Jefferies. We are all looking forward to working with the children and their families to ensure that they have a happy and secure start to their education here at Crossgates Primary School.

Here are some websites to help you keep fit and healthy while you are at home.

Let's make some noise !

Don’t Forget your child can pay £1 and wear their favourite sports wear on Friday 13th March in aid of Sports Relief.

We have had a fabulous World Book Day. We have listened to lots of stories. Here are some of our costumes.

We are reading Owl Babies in Nursery and learning all about owls.

We have been busy

Thank you to everybody who attended our Christmas Hat Making Stay and Play. The children made some beautiful hats.

It’s a book!

We tried to guess what it was ...

The next book we will be reading is Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Bill Martin. We will spend two weeks exploring this book at the beginning of next half term.

Thank you for coming to our Stay and Play. It was lots of fun and lovely to see you all.

At long last we have some flowers on the sunflowers we planted in the summer.

Our new book in Nursery is Dear Zoo. We will be reading it and learning all about the animals in the story until the end of the half term. We encourage the children to join in with the story and we will also make up some actions to go with it.

Settling in and making new friends

Don’t forget Reading Cafe in on a Friday morning from 8.45 till 9.15. It’s a lovely opportunity to come into Nursery and read a book with you child. We look forward to seeing you
