Early Years loved listening to the folk band Maia. We joined in with the singing and actions and even got to play some musical instruments.

The children have really enjoyed our learning based upon our Talk for Writing book - Rosie's Walk.

 

Today, the children created Rosie the Hen using playdough.

Tuesday 7th January

 

Today, we received a special letter! We opened the letter and followed the clues to find our surprise! It was our new Talk for Writing book - Rosie's Walk.

This week, we had a special visitor, who came to Cross Gates Primary School with a delivery! (Please see video below.)

 

Santa delivered us a present! It was a new story. This book will inspire lots of learning in the next few weeks.

Autumn 2 Newsletter 2019

We enjoyed meeting Vicky from Langlands garden centre.  We learnt all about the different parts of a bulb and how to plant them correctly. We can’t wait to watch them grow !

Today we opened our first Reading Cafe . The children really enjoyed listening to stories with you. Early Years Reading Cafe is every Friday 8.55-9.10, we look forward to seeing you next week.

The children have had a great first week at school and have really enjoyed exploring their new learning environment. They have especially enjoyed playing outside on our new bikes.
