Planting

Year 1 had a planting afternoon, where we spoke about what plants need to grow and plants lots of herbs, vegetables and flowers.

Harlow Carr

Year 1 had a lovely trip to Harlow Carr to start off their Topic of Plants in Science. We went on a plant hunt, and also took part in a workshop looking at plants and planted our own seed.

Year 1 have learned all about measuring this week, we have been comparing using shorter, longer and taller. To measure we have used non standard objects such as cubes and also rulers to measure in centimetres.

We welcomed our families into our Year 1 classroom. Year 1 enjoyed showing their adults all around the classroom with all the learning we have done this half term.
