We have loved our music lessons this half term! We have learnt how to read music, write our own and we also got the chance to play the bigger instruments.
We learnt how to make a 3D tile in our Art lesson. We focussed on using slip joins, scoring and using 3D elements. This is great to practise for when we do our final pieces next week!
To help consolidate our learning about nouns and verbs, we created our own noun town! We filled it with nouns, such as an ice cream truck, bikes, dogs, cats and of course us! We then said what we can do in noun town, linking in with the verbs.
We learnt how to cut fruit and hold a knife properly in our DT lesson. This is to prepare us for when we are making our yummy smoothies in a few weeks time. We all enjoyed a big fruit salad at the end of the day.
We started our Art topic by understanding clay. We explored using it with different tools. We rolled it into sausages and balls, then tried to smooth it using our fingers to get rid of all of the cracks.
We had a lovely time with our first Reading for Pleasure of the Summer term! We had lots of cuddles with our teddies and got to read new fairy tale stories to them.
To help us with retelling the story of The Three Little Pigs, we enjoyed the sunshine and acted out the story outside. We did an excellent job of sequencing it!
We started our DT project today. We are going to be making smoothies using fruit and vegetables. We learnt how to tell the difference between the two of them and to consolidate the learning, we got to explore fruits and vegetables. We were very careful when using the knives and sorted them into piles at the end of the lesson.
